Monthly Ceremony
Great Compassion Repentance Ceremony (大悲法会)
10th of every lunar month (初十)
A repentance ceremony centred on the Great Compassion Mantra, seeking purification and blessings. Held monthly at the temple.
Annual Festivals & Observances
Bai Tian Gong (拜天公)
Eve of Lunar 1st Month, 9th Day (正月初八晚)
A traditional prayer to the Jade Emperor, held from 9 pm on the night of the 8th into the 9th day. Giving thanks for blessings and seeking protection for the year ahead.
Venerable Kong Hiap Memorial Ceremony
Lunar 1st Month, 15th Day (正月十五)
Annual ceremony commemorating the passing of Venerable Sek Kong Hiap (广洽法师), who founded Mee Toh School and petitioned for Vesak Day to become a public holiday.
Guan Yin Festivals (观音诞)
19th Day of the 2nd, 6th & 9th Lunar Month (二月十九、六月十九、九月十九)
Three annual celebrations honouring Guan Yin Bodhisattva: her birthday, enlightenment, and renunciation.
Vesak Day (卫塞节)
Lunar 4th Month, 15th Day (四月十五)
The most important day in the Buddhist calendar, commemorating the birth, enlightenment, and passing of Shakyamuni Buddha.
Four Face Buddha Ceremonies (四面佛法会)
11 May & 9 November
May 11 marks the anniversary of the Four Face Buddha’s arrival at Leong San Buddhist Temple. November 9 is the international Four Face Buddha birthday. Seeking blessings for success, relationships, wealth, and health.
Amitabha Buddha’s Birthday (阿弥陀佛圣诞)
Lunar 11th Month, 17th Day (十一月十七)
A day of chanting and devotion dedicated to the Buddha of Infinite Light.
Bardo Deliverance Sessions
Qing Ming Bardo Deliverance
4 April 2026 — Lunar 2nd Month, 17th Day (二月十七)
A sacred ceremony held during the Qing Ming period to honour and guide departed ancestors toward a favourable rebirth.

29 August 2026 — Lunar 7th Month, 17th Day (七月十七)
A ceremony during the Ghost Month to guide wandering spirits toward favourable rebirth through the power of mantra and compassion.

24 January 2027 — Lunar 12th Month, 17th Day (十二月十七)
The final Bardo Deliverance ceremony of the lunar year, held during the Winter Solstice period to bring merit and peace to the departed.
